Canadian Geese Sharing a Puddle in Ballard WA

‘Sharing: Have a portion of (something) with another or others.’ Sharing, an activity we all generally think of as a good thing, especially as kids we want it to be ‘even Steven.’ Here in the rail yard next to Pier 86, the Grain Terminal at the Port of Seattle, one Seagull shares a mud puddle with six Canadian Geese. Is it a good thing for them? Who knows.

  1. It’s nice that Canadian geese can get to Seattle on their way to Florida and find a place to rest and waddle about. I see they’ve made a friend of what appears to be a pigeon. Please keep the pigeon in Seattle when the guess head southeast. Thank you! :-))

  2. Finding open water after a long flight must be important to these geese. Or maybe they are locals enjoying a brief splash.

Happy Thanksgiving my friend. I’m happy we’ve gotten to know each other better this year.
