Cherry Street Coffee House - Belltown

Coffee or Tea?
It seems we all have our favorite beverage, be it hot or cold. I love my coffee, but I also drink a lot of tea and my favorite teas come from Canada. Murchies Tea and Coffee makes some of my most prized teas. I buy a couple red tins of their Christmas Tea each year while it’s available during the holiday season as a loose tea. My favorite everyday tea in bags is also Canadian, called Nabob. It used to be available here, but about ten years ago it vanished from store shelves here and is now only available in Canada. I remember the last time I was in Vancouver, the clerk at the Safeway store looked at me a bit askance while I bought 15 boxes of it. Course the six bags of brown sugar (also a brand only available in Canada) I bought had nothing to do with the look she gave me, I’m sure! I’m about out, guess it’s about time for a day trip across the border!

Here I’ve caught the colorful and somewhat whimsical neon sign for the Cherry Street Coffee House at 2121 1st Avenue in the Belltown neighborhood of downtown Seattle. After all this talk and thought about coffee and tea, I’m going to go fix myself another cup before I have to start rushing around getting ready for work.

i only drink tea when i feel bad, and maybe that is because i have never had loose tea other than way back in time when we used it to make iced tea in the south, but the was Lipton. love the sign and sign me Coffee Drinker.
yesterday at the Health food store, they gave me a bottle of Turbo Tea Raspberry and it was delicious but we don’t buy bottle drinks at all not even water. TMI

  2. Great photo…love that red! I just realized that we really only have 2 coffee houses around here…Starbucks (I’ll pass) and Dunkin’ Donuts. Other than these 2 places, I can’t come up with another coffee house…unless you could consider the counter at Barnes & Noble. Love coffee, love tea and now I have to keep my eyes open for a coffee house I may have missed.
