Goody Two Shoes – Weekly Top Shot #55

Shoes - Pike Place Market

Goody two, goody two.. Goody, goody two shoes. What an odd term of derision that is and one I don’t like. Honestly it has nothing to do with my image today. I simply like trying to title my posts in a clever or descriptive manner (not that I’m all that clever or good with words) but I enjoy trying. Out on a photo jaunt recently with my daughter, we meandered around downtown Seattle, ending up at the Pike Place Market. While parking, just in front of my Honda Element on a wooden ledge of the building we both spotted this pair of men’s shoes. So what’s a photographer to do, shoot everything, right? So there it is, my top shot for the week… what’s yours?

  1. Hi Madge! Oh, I love how the colors in your photo are so harmonious–the browness of the shoes and the beige/brown edge of the wooden ledge. Great composition! This tells a story, too. I wonder who left his shoes behind and why? Intriguing. Have a nice weekend! :)

  2. LOVE this … I’ve posted similar ‘found’ shoe shots now twice … once a pair was left in front of a newspaper machine and the other time it was a pair of nice looking running shoes left on a bench in Riverside Park ..

  3. I wonder if that’s a Pacific NW thing. My daughter finds the strangest articles of clothing around Portland. Love that you thought to photograph it! Such a curious and neat find. and well-photographed, too. :)
