Red Barn on West Snoqualmie Valley Road

Red, glorious red! Fall has come in all its glory to a small dairy operation in the Snoqualmie Valley, cattails skirt the edge of the small pond and edge a narrow pasture in front of the barn. I met the farm wife here, she was a bit older than me and very gracious in allowing me access to their property to take some photos. Meeting nice people is one perk of having a camera in hand, and I love it! They really give a ‘face’ to the places I’ve been. Some have become long time friends…

  1. This is a great shot! Love that red barn and autumn sky and cattails and fall foliage! My father used to call cattails ‘punks’…don’t know why…but he would bring them back from the area around the town boat docks and we would dry them out and then burn them. Memories!!! Thanks!
