Pine Needles - Close Up

Wet pine needles have fallen creating a soft, sound dampening carpet underfoot. Looking down is often a profitable exercise. You find things, such as money on the pavement, tools along the shoulder of the road, and rich photographic opportunities. Here, a simple glance at the ground brought me a perfect view of rain wet pine needles which when viewed closeup are almost abstract art.

Before the Seahawks game with the New England Patriots at one o’clock, I’ve got several errands and chores. I’ve got to make a quick trip to the pet store to get kitten milk replacement for the little kitty we adopted two weeks ago, she is now seven weeks old. She’s a half Siamese and alley cat mix, with the typical blue eyes and coloring with the added benefit of a few white spots and subtle stripes thrown in for good measure. And I promised a good friend/co-worker to hem three pairs Levis. Oh and yes, I finally succumbed to the cold virus I’ve been fighting this past week…
