A cool evening breeze blowing in off Puget Sound moderates the waning warmth of the last setting of the summer sun. We’re now a few days into autumn, but I wanted to post the shot I took on the one of the last days of summer, along the beach in West Seattle on Puget Sound. This is one of my favorite times of year, I love the bright days, cooler nights and the bounty from gardens and orchards. I’d love to be canning fruit, apple sauce, pears, peaches, plums, butters. Filling those jars full of the taste of summer, but alas, I haven’t got the time…

I’m going to miss all the beautiful sunsets…
beautiful reflection and color.
Gorgeous scene. Fall is such a wonderful time of year, just too short.
Beautifully composed image with the sun, trees and water. Gorgeous!!
That’s gorgeous!
Lovely shot Madge, hopefully we see a few more of these before the autumn rains set in.
What a lovely shot with the reflection in the water! Fall certainly is a beautiful time of year. :)
This photo couldn’t be more perfect….it is just gorgeous to look at and has a sense of serenity.
It is a beautiful scene, Madge. I am not one for canning, but I do love eating the fruits of other people’s labor.
Outstanding…oh, don’t you wish these moments could last longer…they are so fleeting. And that’s one of the reasons we photograph.
Beautiful sunset! I love this time of year with the cooler weather and the beautiful colors of Fall.
Lovely!!
And what a beautiful sunset to end Summer. I’m loving the images I’m seeing from your part of the world as you enter Autumn and we head into Spring :)
We never tire of beautiful sunsets, don’t we. Each of them is unique. I love the cloud that looks like a mermaid with long hair blowing in the wind.
