Hansville Barn and Silo - Kitsap Peninsula

Cattle rest peacefully near the barn in the late summer sunshine.
Here on the northern tip of the Kitsap Peninsula near the tiny community of Hansville, is this classic barn and silo.

Yesterday, was the seventh day of school and while my days are still long, they are beginning to fall into a daily routine. At my early elementary school (one of seven schools I transport for daily), I have a completely full bus with 76 students, 15 of whom are kindergarteners. It is a bit stressful ensuring all of those K’s get off at the right stop and into the care of their parents, but it’s all good.

  1. Another beautiful example for your repertoire of barns.

The parents of those kindergartners who are on your route are lucky to have somebody as conscientious as you, Madge, taking charge of their kiddos before and after school!

  2. That is one beautiful scene! My first grandson just started kindergarten. I saw him on Monday and he told me was wasn’t going and then he walked out the door to get into the car. You have one tough job with those K kids! But it’s all good :)
