Vessels that are drifting, beached, broken-up or sunken can be considered derelict. Here along the southern shore of the Wishkah River between the towns of Aberdeen and Hoquiam, WA rests a boat which appears to be abandoned and in a state of disrepair. Regardless of whether this boat is truly a derelict, I liked the scene, the colors especially in the water.

this image would make a great picture puzzle! :)
I love these kind of shots! Well found!
Neat picture, Madge! It is almost fall like in it’s colors. I like the weathered look of the boat.
Nice shot, Madge!
Wonderful shot. Looks like Fall.
Very nice. I would be thrilled to find a derelict boat for some photos of my own:-)
I love this photo! The colors are so rich and everything comes together perfectly.
Looks like an interesting little boat that had an interesting life. Great photo! xx
I also would have been drawn to this scene. Great shot, Madge!
We have so many of these in our area….they are wonderful photo opportunities. This one is beautiful and well aged.
Love this!
TexWisGirl is right; this would be a wonderful puzzle.
Doable…but difficult.
LOL, I agree with TWG too! :)
This shot reminds me of the movie The African Queen.
This is a beautiful shot! The color and comp are outstanding. This is something I’d like to explore but would be terrified of sinking!
Great capture!
She looks like she’d have been a beautiful boat in her day. Nice shot and, as always, good find!
That boat looks pretty close to derelict to me. You can add in rotting, but also photogenic.
It makes a beautiful photo! I love the colors and I agree it would make a wonderful puzzel.
it is a gorgeous shot. Derelict or not. lol, I had to look up that word. It wa unfamiliar to me. Abondoned seems to mean the same. :)
Marvelous image Madge, I wonder what the history is of this poor old abandoned boat!
What a beauty! Very nice shot.
