Foggy mist envelopes the Pacific Ocean beach at Ocean Shores, WA. A women wearing a pair of pink crocs sits on driftwood watching the late summer surf crash on the beach in front of her. Her hood up bracing against the chilly wind blowing ashore creates a juxtaposition of season vs. weather, creating a much different scene than one would suppose at this time of year, the high temperature was only 59° F.
Knowing that we only had a couple weeks before I return to work for another school year, my husband and I laid aside painting the house, buttoned it up and had an overnight at the ocean. The cool mist and fog were not an unwelcome sight for me, I loved the respite from summer heat.

I like fog shots – well done Madge!
Love this shot.
Very nice shot! I can almost feel that cool mist -it was 113 at my house today.
Okay, Madge, I’ve run out of adjectives to describe your beautiful talent. I wish I could come and study under you for a week!
I’ll take 59 degrees, even with fog!
Great introspective shot….a perfect one for your weekend ‘getaway’.
so well done, fog is not easy .. love the red of the clogs peeping through
Wow, what a change in weather! We have hot, humid, horrible here in central NJ right now. Enjoy these last weeks off!
Another terrific shot! We’re moving into a short period of warmer weather now but we’ve had tides of fog in and out over the last couple of days. I love that soft mood and you caught it so well above. How nice to hear that you’ve finally taken a little break this summer!
Cool misty fog sounds WONDERFUL right about now! What a great shot, really captures the feeling! :)
Outstanding shot! I’m in awe. Wonderful job, Madge.
