Supervising – Weekly Top Shot #42

Sidewalk Washing - Downtown Seattle

Working on one’s own is refreshing, freeing. Setting the pace, getting it done, not having a boss breathing down your neck, ahhh, that feels good! Here early on a summer morning in downtown Seattle, four mannequins appear to be quietly ‘supervising’ this man hired to wash the sidewalks outside a retail apparel shop. He thought no one was watching…

August Giveaway – I’m giving away one 12 ounce bag of coffee by my favorite roaster, Dillanos. See the sidebar for details.

  1. There’s something very satisfying that comes from doing work on one’s own terms.

    Great shot, Madge.

Please include me in your giveaway! I follow you via RSS and Facebook, as you know. Great prizes! xo

  2. Great capture. Reminds me of my younger days when I worked in the city and would often have to get the grayhound into the city and arrive with the street cleaners to be there on time for work. The city was a whole different place in the wee hours.
