Elgin Watches (Ghost Writing) at The Loft in Ballard WA

Ghostly writing still appears on an old brick building.
Next door, The Loft in Ballard serves lunch and dinner seven days a week in the heart of this historic neighborhood. Ballard was once a city unto itself, but was annexed in 1907 into the city of Seattle. I liked the rich colors and texture of the bricks and the ghostwriting still very visible on the wall of what must have been a jewelry store at one time. Capturing this bit of ghostwriting was quite easy, but some pieces around town are much harder to capture due to adjacent buildings or location. What about you, do you ever capture ghostwriting around your town?

I’ll be visiting you all today as I can, still painting the house you know!

This is nice! I haven’t seen any ghost signs in Sequim, though there’s a nice selection in Port Townsend. . .the most readable seem to be for one tobacco product or another.

I hope you’re feeling better. . .I’m not sure paint fumes are the best thing when you’re not feeling tip top!
