Seattle is a spectacular when the sun shines. With all the snow capped mountains east and west of the city and lakes, bays and Puget Sound, the views are gorgeous. Here the Seattle Fire Department’s boat Leschi puts on a powerful display in Elliott Bay framing the Space Needle.
I’ll be out later with my camera, but right now I’m running to the hardware store to get a long-handled paint roller. The overhead painting under the eaves of the house is killing my neck, hopefully that will be easier.

Lovely shot.
Ah…memories…
the last time I was in Seattle, I was sitting in the Space Needle restaurant
with my future husband.
We saw a similar display of a fire boat shooting out water.
The year?
1976
Yours is a great shot.
Hope the painting goes more easily with the long-handled roller.

Great shot, truly beautiful! We don’t regularly get a view of the Cascades but when they come out they are truly spectacular. And, of course, we enjoy being at the foot of the Olympics.
Painting is one of the chores I least enjoy, overhead painting even less. I hope you can sit back, relax, and applaud your work soon.
