Misty, blue, and cold… Rialto Beach. The rather secluded and never busy Olympic Peninsula park, Rialto Beach is always a good spot for a few good photographs. This time no splash of wowing colors, no warmth to envelope you while you stand behind your tripod, just a blue pastel where the mist grips you after a few minutes, seeping into your coat and gloves, chilling you to the bone. Regardless of which view I capture, I always enjoy the long drive to Forks (of Twilight fame) and the short drive to the beach and the images I get.
Thanks for joining me today, for the view that is right here! ~ Madge

cool and calming.
Looks like mid-winter, doesn’t it. We’ve had the same up here for a few days, though I see some sun, trying at least, this morning. It’s a beauty of a shot regardless. Hard to beat the Pacific Northwest!
Gorgeous scene.I can almost feel the mist as you describe the setting.
A nice chill from all of the heat already making us sweat here in Texas! Gorgeous view!
This shot really captures that ethereal quality of the coast. Beautiful, soft colors!
Re: wild roses. Thanks for reminding me about collecting buds. I haven’t done this but it sounds like a great idea and now’s the right time to do it.
So beautifully captured, Madge! That driftwood in the foreground is such a wonderful frame.
Beautiful, Madge. I do love our beaches!
