The last bloom for the season.
Have you ever enjoyed the blooms of a season, spring or summer only to suddenly realize they’re gone for another year? I have, and then thought, ‘Shoot, I should have gotten out and photographed sooner.’ And then the realization that photo op is gone for twelve months, twelve months! Here are the last of the wood hyacinths blooming along the Physt River on the Olympic Peninsula in all their purple glory, with just a pop of yellow Buttercups, and I didn’t miss them! Pretty little woodland flowers that never fail to bring a smile to my face.
Thanks for joining me today, for the view that is right here! ~ Madge

How lovely, Madge. Great that you caught them just in time… :)
Ahh the beauty of nature. You can’t beat it.
I am in love with purple flowers. :-))
really beautiful! we get the tiny grape hyacinths here – for a minute, it seems. :)
Don’t I know it – and the pouring rain we’re getting today and the next week puts paid to the plans of getting some soon. Ah well, I’ll enjoy yours!
Lovely. Now you (and we) can enjoy them before they’re gone.
Very pretty, especially against the yellow buttercups and with the water in the background. Glad you caught them in time! xx
Wow,that’s gorgeous.
Such a lovely photo. I love the deep colors of the woods.
