Barns, farms, ranches and machinery are the dominant subject in the Palouse.
Yesterday, included an all day drive north out of Colfax making about a 100 miles circle coming back into town about eight hours later. I was trying to find a specific red barn I viewed from Steptoe Butte, but don’t think I ever passed it.
But here was an attractive place on Dry Creek Road, love the white fence, red barn, Deere in the driveway and just before I pulled away, a calico kitty came out for a peek at me.

Did you try looking on google earth to see if you could spot the barn and maybe see the way to get to it?
