‘Cuppa,’ ‘Cup of Joe,’ ‘Morning Fix,’ ‘Java,’ ‘Latte…’ how many ways can you say ‘cup of coffee??’ I could go into latte slang, it is a whole language unto itself… but won’t! Here Seattle’s Best Coffee in Post Alley at the Pike Place Market is open for business. The coffee aroma called to me so ardently that I had to stop in for a ‘triple, skinny, no flavor, not too hot, grande latte.’
I’m a serious coffee drinker, I drink caffeinated in the morning, full throttle for the day made with my pour through with Melitta pot. In the evenings I make decaffeinated lattes in my DeLonghi espresso maker, lots of foam and a little drizzle of caramel on top. I should mention that I’m a serious tea drinker as well, but that’s another post!
Thanks for joining me today, for the view that is right here! ~ Madge
very pretty shot! lots of color!
I love the retro look of this coffee shop! I would definately stop in here for a cuppa, and feel happy from all that bright color! xx
Prefer Rosie to Joe. Rosie Lee – tea – cockney rhyming slang.

Holy cuppa Joe, I love lots of foam too! We are a match made in coffee heaven Madge!
a good cup of coffee is the way to wake up the day.
Love the rich colors. It was like a jolt of caffeine at night.
Great photo! I’m a decaf person (not by choice) but I sneak in some caffeine sometimes in mid-afternoon when I need to recharge. And that coffee you described with the caramel….Oh, I’m needing that right now!
Ah, coffee! A subject close to my heart. Grind-your-own-beans, French-press, caffeinated: a fine reason to rise in the morning. Your evening decaf fix sounds delightful, too. And tea! Yes! Preferrably strong black tea – Barry’s Gold Blend Irish tea, though I’ve not found it on the Olympic Peninsula. But I’ve been known to be very happy with good quality loose tea. Somehow a good cup of coffee or tea can make everything right.
I love Seattle, what a great town – and I have walked by this very spot many times! nicely done!
