Heron Island Ferry at Key Peninsula Dock

Bright skies, brilliant snowy peaks and deep ultramarine blue waters.

Such is the view at the private ferry dock to Heron Island on Key Peninsula. This little ferry holds about twelve cars on deck (thanks Donna for giving me the correct number :-) )to traverse the mile or so ride to the private island in the middle of Case Inlet. The Olympic Mountains on the Olympic Peninsula soar behind the bright red ferry and deep blue water to give a dramatic contrast of color and brilliance. This is a quiet little place along the shore, and a nice place for a short walk and a leisurely picnic.

Thanks for joining me today for the view that is right here! ~ Madge
