Vamoose, scram, scoot, skedaddle, beat feet, cut and run… how many ways can you say ‘making a hasty retreat?’ I love deer, such gentle creatures with big soft eyes. Sometimes, I find they are difficult to photograph. Spook them and they’ll likely flee. Often all I get is a tail and rump disappearing in the brush, in the woods, over a ridge. Here a White-Tail doe is in the act of disappearing over a ridge in eastern Washington at sunset, on a cold spring evening.
Fantastic silhouette, Madge! Beautiful shot!
Really beautiful shot! Love the shadowy colors.
this is gorgeous Madge! we have a group of deer that come into the neighborhood and munch…sometimes if i’m lucky i’ll catch them in my yard. they are pretty used to everyone….if i’m driving by i can stop and take pictures and they just look at me and go back to eating…that is when i remember to keep my camera with me!
I love seeing the deer and wild turkeys around here…Beautiful shot!
Umm, gittyup? :-) Thanks for sharing at Rural Thursday, Madge.
a pretty silhouette!
A great silhouette shot Madge, and I love the color of the sky…nicely captured as usual!
Yep.. kind of wish they would vamoose from our yard. They are here every evening munching away on all the pretty stuff. Why can’t they eat weeds instead?
Wow, beautiful sky and good picture of the deer as it made it’s escape! :-)
Awesome capture!
Beautiful, beautiful capture Madge.
