‘No Trespassing,’ it goes without saying. Often though you get the impression that some have had trouble and therefore feel the need to post ‘No Trespassing’ signs around their property. Here a faded yellow barn along Highway 26 a few miles west of Colfax WA is protected by several strands of barbwire fencing and it is posted for people to keep out. I always have great respect for those signs, you never know they could be backed up by a Ruger or Smith & Wesson.
Thanks for joining me today, for the view that is right here! ~ Madge

I sure stay away when I see those signs…You just never know ;)
Awesome photo Madge!
We have a couple posted outside of our property on our lane — most people don’t think it applies to them, so they ignore them. *sigh*
oh yeah…i’m a big scaredy cat and would never trespass! love this image!
I love the composition on this shot – perfect to have the sign there. And it’s a beautiful barn.
great photo. beautiful barn.
That is gorgeous, Madge! Love not only the barn, but the surrounding scenery! Great job!
Barb wire by itself tends to put me off, much less a sign! :D
Utoh. They mean business. Great photo.
I wouldn’t want to test whether they mean business! Great shot, love the faded paint on that gorgeous barn! xx
such a great barn. could use some paint though. ha. ha!! i see no trespassing all the time. so frustrating when you wish to get a closer look. (:
Yeah, I too respect those signs…I always feel like they must have had trouble with people. Or else want to avoid trouble. Anyway, I like the perspective of this shot.
No trespassing always makes to wanna see what they have inside…must be good : )
Sweet old barn.
Barbed wire? Not as sweet.
Great shot.

What a great shot! You’ve made the sign add to the beauty of the barn.
I like how it all goes together – aging barn, rusty barbed wire, patina on the sign. But check out that little hood gizmo over the hay mow. Pretty spiffy.
Amazing shot Madge.
I like how even the sign looks like it has yellowed with age and therefore matches the barn.
Lots of no trespassing signs around here-great photo!
Wonderful, I love that beautiful barn, excellent colors. Greetings.
That’s exactly what I’m afraid of when I go out shooting these barns! Fantastic capture & I love how you included the sign… more people should take heed to these signs, ya never know what’s waiting on the property! =0
That’s a great sign; it has a lot of character!
I’ve got no trespassing signs posted on the farm; it’s to make people think before they trespass and to, hopefully, keep me from a lawsuit. I don’t want some pilgrim climbing my fence to go cowboy and ride one of my horses. Likely, they’d fall off the horse, get hurt and sue me. Especially if they’re drunk when they do it; people can be totally stupid about not respecting someone else’s property.
My sign is backed up by a Circuit Judge and a 357…’nuff said -grin-.
Great shot, Madge!
When Bill and I were first together we were bird hunting somewhere and had a farmer come up and say ‘didn’t you know this was posted?” (We hadn’t seen the sign, and I didn’t even know what it meant, having not led an outdoor life until I knew Bill.). The guy lectured us but at least he didn’t shoot ;>) Did I tell you that we were raised (and got married) in Clarkston? Bill went to WSU — we know the Palouse Country well.
Awesome shot. I love it. I keep wishing I could find more barns around here. Guess they aren’t a big New Mexico thing. Or at least city outskirts wise.
Great photo with a superbe composition! This sign is not to be overlooked
