Dark Afternoon Shadows in Wild Horse Valley

Wildly rural, this valley is an amazingly beautiful place.

These dark afternoon cloud shadows created visual drama, unlike I’ve ever seen before.

Wild Horse Valley runs along the eastern edge of the fifty mile long fault block mountain called,

Steens Mountain in south central Oregon near the small town of Burns.

This high desert, has the most amazing light I’ve ever seen

and although I’ve only visited here once,

I’ve got this place on my short list of places

I will return to

as soon as possible.
