Red Barn in the Palouse

In late winter and early spring in the Palouse, color begins re-emerging from the somber brown earth. Isn’t it a delightful thing to see just a tinge of green or yellow and a few days later it is a profusion of color and life. The Palouse, the premier wheat growing region of southeast Washington state is a beautiful place to see life spring from the fallow ground. Here near Colfax, Whitman County seat, a brightly painted small red barn competes with rich green grass and a flashy yellow willow for the attention of the eye of the beholder.

Thanks for joining me today for the view that is right here! ~ Madge
