Do you ever feel like you’re being given a skewed view? {Insert scraping sounds here…} Pardon me while I drag my soapbox over here and stand on it for just a moment… I’m not sure about you, but sometimes I get very tired (very, very tired) of the distorted view that the nightly news and celebrity news shows (which I detest) give of life and how they ‘discuss’ subjects ad nauseam. Often, I find what they think is important in no way reflects what is true and/or important in my life and those of my friends and loved ones. It is in my best interest mentally to simply turn them off… click. No more distortion… I’ll step down now. {Insert scraping sounds here…} while I drag my soapbox back out of the way.
