Just a quirky thing to do… taking a self-portrait. Yesterday morning while out taking photos, I meandered around here and there finding myself in Ballard at the Foss Shipyards on West Ewing Street along the Ship Canal. At the entrance to the facilities on the dock, traffic crosses the Ship Canal Trail. In order to help drivers to see pedestrians and bicyclists, these convex mirrors were installed. For whatever reason, I stopped and shot a self-portrait. So there you go, now you see me… behind the lens of my Pentax K7, with a chartreuse green hat and inside my burgundy Honda Element!
Nice capture. Usually these convex mirrors are located in a place where a driver would have a blind spot. They help them see oncoming traffic before pulling out.
I LOVE IT! great idea, great shot
Wonderful use of the magical mirror! Like a fish-eye lens :^)
what fun! Nice shot.
Do I see a yellow hat? You are very cool looking with your camera and car. Nice idea for a shot.
nice job!
Great! I’ve been thinking of trying to do some kind of self-portrait. This is inspiration . . .
Clever!
Too fun. We used to have an Element, we called it the Toaster.
This is great! Now I have to find one of those mirrors!
Great selfie, Madge. Love your vehicle — it’s so you! :)
