Spring visited early… After all the snow, ice and cold, spring was calling to my heart and mind this morning so I sorted through several folders of images and chose to share this shot of a lovely old home in the Volunteer Park neighborhood of Seattle. I loved muted yellow home which recedes behind a twisted tree trunk and a garden carpeted with bright green moss.
Today, I’m digging out my seed catalogs and planning. The vegetable garden cometh… the slick photos of succulent veggies bid me to purchase enough seed for a ten acre garden instead of the 20×20 foot raised bed plot in my backyard. Zucchini, tomatoes, pole beans, lettuce, pumpkins, garlic, onions, peppers… thinking Spring, warmer weather and yes, even going back to work tomorrow!
What a beautiful garden! The green makes me excited for the Spring.
Pretty pretty!!
i love this photo, beautiful home and i like how the blossoms are framing the picture….nice! great idea to start planning on the garden…i think i shall too! i’ve seen a raised garden idea on pinterest i want to try this year :)
End of January almost …. only another 4 weeks of winter on the coast (hopefully), before we start seeing spring-like weather!
This is a lovely shot! Seattle is so beautiful.
I always buy more seed than I need and I want to plant it all and there is no way I could ever eat that nor all of the people I know. They hide by the time summer is over if I have a bag in my hand.
Lovely picture. I am still undecided about putting in a garden this year, so my catalogs are just sitting because if I open them I know what will happen. :)
that’s beautiful. something to look forward to…
Beautiful shot – how nice to think about spring.
Nice photo and a timely reminder to start thinking about ordering seeds. Thanks.
this could have been taken in Savannah Ga, it is beautiful
Wonderful photo…it makes me yearn for spring. Can’t wait to get back to ‘green.’
I bet that moss sure is slippery. Enough for 10 acres huh? Must have been some good pictures. lol. Back when I was a kid, I used to sell seeds door to door. I would by and sell anything that had a neat commercial on TV during after school shows. Guess I was like you, not able to resist.
Very, very beautiful!
The tree is amazing — would love to have a closer look at it sometime! :)
This is how I remember the western coastline to be….we were living in Nevada and Idaho….all desert…guess that is why we were in love with the northwest. Beautiful shot of the home. I will take moss any day…otherwise where will the little fairies live? smiles: sharon
