2011 – Year in Review… Today’s image veers off my normal track for daily posts; I decided to put together a visual year in review by creating a collage of some of your favorite post images from this past year. 2011 saw a dramatic shift in the purpose of my blog; I narrowed the focus to just my photography, which was a departure from my initial broader spectrum of offerings. The year also brought a much larger audience and following; just days before the end of the year, my blog crossed 50,000 visitors and nearly 70,000 reads since January of 2011 when I had just 82 visitors!
I am humbled knowing that you could choose to spend your online time any place, but knowing that you spend a bit of time here on my blog has helped me understand that my photographer’s eye has brought you some relaxation, entertainment and once in a while a chuckle or two. It has been my pleasure getting to know each person who has commented on my blog and I count it a joy to call you my friends.
Tonight I will be securing my parking place (two hours early) along the east side of Alki Beach in West Seattle, facing downtown Seattle, where I will be shooting across Elliott Bay at 11:35 when the ‘New Year’s at the Needle,’ celebration begins with a spectacular fireworks show enhanced by and synced to music. Hopefully, tomorrow’s post will be one of the images I capture tonight. Have a safe and fun New Year’s celebration!

I have loved getting acquainted with you this year and really one of my goals is to enter into your top shot but of course just a bit afraid. :)

Ooooh can’t wait to see that! I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog Madge. I was sure I would see the shot of the homeless(?) guy and the kitten in you collage above. That was my all time favorite.
