Man’s best friend… is there any doubt? Often I see dogs waiting for owners ie: tied to a bicycle rack in front of a coffee shop, tied to a post in front of the library, tied to the railing of an automatic door at the convenience store. Waiting, always waiting.
Last night I stopped at the local grocery store. I usually don’t park along the curb as it is a ‘No Parking – Fire Lane’ zone, but I just wanted to throw a bag of trash in the garbage can. I glanced over at the vehicles parked in the stalls. The back end of a little red pickup truck caught my eye. Sheltered under the canopy were two dogs, one sitting forward against the slider between cab and canopy and the other by the tailgate. The dog sitting against the tail gate was waiting patiently, eagerly, moving ever so slightly each time a person would come out of the store. You could just see the internal conversation, ‘Nope, not mine… nope, not mine… nope, not mine.’ ‘Where, oh where IS mine?!?’ I love the faithfulness of our beloved pet dogs, don’t you?
so precious.. we see a little of that here but it is very dangerous to leave pets in cars here in FL, even in winter months the heat can kill them very easily. and i always fret over dogs in open back of pickup trucks, dangerous and they can have heat strokes from our heat.
I agree… but here except in the height of summer is it dangerous to leave a pet inside a vehicle… thankfully so.
Yes I do, I love watching them looking hopefully for each person. That is a great shot of a patient dog.
A very beautiful model, nice image and the composition and “framing” is also very good!:)
Sweet shot and story. . .Oh, how I date myself! This dog reminds me of the RCA dog years and years ago — remember him? “His master’s voice.” We could learn so much from the patience of a dog, though I’ll admit that mine has learned to express his disapproval and whine from time to time.
Looks a smart dog, no one will steal that car.
I am so glad you always have your camera handy. I was at a diary farm today – with new Holstein calves and NO CAMERA : (
He looks so lonely but cute!
I really enjoyed your observation. Looking through a lens make you ‘see’ things differently and, I believe, makes you more observent all around. Love that dog!
Sooo CUTE!!! I love the emotion that the dog gave and how you captured it :D
Steven^^
Awww!
I always wonder what they are thinking when we leave them — great shot, Madge. :)
They don’t call them Man’s Best Friend for nothing! Happy New Year Madge. Margie
Time waits for no one… NOT even doggies!
I love dogs! Wish I could have more then just two. One day :)
Have a happy and healthy New Year!
What a darling pooch! They are so faithful aren’t they?
that is the cutest thing. Big “AWWWWWWW” from me! And yes, animals are just so precious!
Love the expression on his face; great capture!
