Verified Santa Sighting! And no, he’s not wearing cement shoes. At the end of my trip into downtown Seattle, I returned along Alaska Way next to the Spokane Street Viaduct, south of downtown. Having spent over three hours capturing the spirit of Christmas in Seattle, I couldn’t forget the annual display here. Ash Grove is a large cement company producing portland and masonry cements and other limestone products in its state-of-the-art plant, whose motto is ‘Strong Foundations, Strong Future.’ Every year at Christmas time, the plant puts up this same display of Santa in his sleigh with six reindeer mounted diagonally along the frame of a conveyor. Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Cupid, I meant Vixen… oh well, who are the rest of them anyway??
You never know what you will see when you look up. Keep on clicking.
