Fishing boat moored at Fishermens’ Terminal in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, sits waiting for another trip to sea. During my photography walks around ‘Fishermens’ Terminal’ I have seen this boat quite a lot, and she always looks a bit rough and crusty looking. Well, I guess everybody has the right to look a bit rough and crusty on the odd occasion.
Yes we do look crusty from time to time…beautiful photo
Lol… Saturday mornings are often my photography jaunts, hat on hair, no makeup…
you are so talented at finding photos. love it
Thanks… ;-)
Nice shot Madge – she may be rough and crusty, but she isn’t ready for retirement just yet!
No Paul, I don’t think she’s ready for that yet!
some more than others!
Yup… we won’t go there! ;-)
Just a bit! Margie
Yes, just a tad…
That resembles me in the morning (sometimes.)
Me too… uh sometimes (mostly on Saturdays) ;-)
what a GREAT shot!! an old crusty fishing boat…OH the tales it could tell. it has such character!!
love the little dream catcher…hanging in the window….
I saw that dream catcher too…
Love your images from the terminal, Madge! Without seeing the rigging, my guess is it’s an old converted shrimp trawler from the gulf (of Mexico), doing whatever now in Seattle. In any case, nice capture of a working boat needing some blasting and paint.
I use the USCG database to look up boats for info, but this one doesn’t show up for some reason…
What a really gorgeous shot. Love these old working boats.
There is simply something attractive about that roughness isn’t there??
I love old boats like this………..there is so much character. Makes me miss the trips to the beach when or children were small. Have a great weekend. blessings, Kathleen
Thanks, Kathleen…
I wonder what her captain looks like.
A bit rough and crusty?? Lol!! ;-)
I love all of the texture in this shot!
Looks like a workin’ man’s boat.
I love this shot! Well done.
That picture almost brings the smell of the dock and boats right through my computer.
