Smokestacks… Mount Rainier… Early Morning… Standing on the overpass connecting a parking garage at the Pike Place Market, I’m above Western Avenue, looking south towards Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle. Here the pastel oranges of an early morning colors the sky behind Mount Rainier and CenturyLink Field where the Seattle Seahawks play football on Sundays. I’ve lived within thirty miles of the town I was born in and grew up seeing Mount Rainier every day of my life, but I never tire of its many moods.

Hi Madge! Thanks for the visit and comment. Excellent cityscape. Its been so long since I’ve been in a large metropolitan area (though I’ve lived in plenty of them). The industry is softened by the warm glow of coloring, which is excellent. I love how you caught that bird on the upper left soaring gracefully above it all. To me, that’s the real story…
