Saddles…Cowboy Boots…Chaps…Cowboy Coffee…Steaks… Hamley and Company, a historic Pendleton, Oregon business for 106 years is located at ‘8 S.E. Court Avenue’ in downtown. If you travel through Pendleton you owe it to yourself a visit to this western store, featuring the custom saddles that are still made by hand and with careful craftmanship.

J. J. Hamley moved his business from Kendrick, Idaho to Pendleton due to a building fire, to set up shop on the Oregon Trail. Hamley was known as a harness and saddle maker, but the business soon developed around its saddles and became known throughout the west as the maker of ‘the finest saddles man could ride.’

This unique neon sign sits above the Hamley Coffee Shop, one of their three businesses.  Next door to the western shop is Hamley Steakhouse, where you can eat a meal to remember! Between the steakhouse and the shop is a coffee shop where you can enjoy a good latte, not quite the quintessential cup of cowboy coffee, but you can pretend!
