‘Ride the Ducks!’ One of the more popular tourist activities around Seattle is a tour service called ‘Ride the Ducks!’ Seeing the local sights on board a WWII amphibious landing craft is an easy way to get around town without fiddling with a GPS and digging for change to park a car. By land the tour takes you by the sports stadiums (CenturyLink and Safeco Fields), Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market.

Then by water you’ll enter Lake Union near the Montlake Cut and see downtown from a different perspective, Gas Works Park and the houseboat featured in the hit movie ‘Sleepless in Seattle.’ This fellow stands on Northlake Way waiting for tourist laden ‘ducks’ to arrive at Lake Union and he then ‘shows’ them the way to the Lake while entertaining them with a dance and a wave at the same time. This ‘duck’ makes its way down the boat ramp to Lake Union to show off the sights after being ‘directed’ and entertained by the ‘duck’ greeter… quack!
