On the Kitsap Peninsula, you may find yourself on a two lane rural road in Skunk Bay near Hansville, WA; you will see many signs dotting the roadside indicating the way to some locals’ home. Normally, you see a rectangular piece of wood, some painted, some carved, mostly non descript, or the odd piece of driftwood. But then you see two bears standing side by side, one in a red knit cap, one in a Mariner’s (?) baseball cap, husband’s arm around the wife, smiling both, pointing boldly, ‘This Way to the Bennett Place!’ I love it’s whimsy… you?
aw that’s cute!
Isn’t it?!? :-)
Folk art!
Yes, and a great example too!
I agree! Very cute. I bet the Bennetts are good people!
I’ll bet you’re right… how could they not be??
Now how can that not make you smile!
Makes me smile!! I laughed when we passed by it and had to turn around, go back to get a shot!
Great catch…
Yup.. just one of those right place, right time and camera all coincided… lol! ;-)
