Come on, pedal faster! Warm sunny days bring out tourists and locals alike to Seattle’s only beach in the downtown area, Alki Beach. Seattle averages just 58 sunny days annually, with 226 average cloudy days (155 of those are rain) and 86 partly cloudy days. One fun activity to participate in when the sun DOES shine is renting a bicycle cart at ‘Wheel Fun Rentals Alki Beach’ located at 2530 Alki Avenue S.W. This family was too large to fit into one cart so they rented two, I loved the boy facing backward, just going for a ride! Looks like a lot of fun, I may have to grab my husband and head for the beach, do you suppose I could fake the pedalling part? Lol!
This shot reminds me of living in Cape May, NJ. The tourist would ride these around all the streets and tie up traffic. A real nightmare…lol. At least these look like they aren’t on the roads.
No not on the streets around Alki, but in downtown near the Pike Place Market, you see rickshaws on the street…
