Brightly colored crab pot buoys dangle over the side of the F/V Polar Lady.Often seen doing double duty, these crab pot buoys are used a bumpers when at berth. The Polar Lady was featured on Discovery Channel’s hit TV show Deadliest Catch, Season 1. She is a steel hulled boat, hails out of Seattle (her home port) and is 88 feet long with a 192 net tonnage of crab or fish.
You have to love the ingenuity of fishermen. It’s also a goldmine for the photographer too. I am a big fan of photographic a working waterfront so this is right up my alley. Nice shot.
Yes, I do love their ingenuity and sometimes whimsy as well! I LOVE shooting the waterfront and Fishermens’ Terminal… never a dull day, always people around… and a camera is nearly as good as a dog for initiating conversation…! :-)
That’s a great shot, that I almost missed – you’ve got 2 posts dated today. I like shots with a lot of colour.
I really enjoy the bright colors found here and there around the fishing boats too..guess that’s why I go to Fishermens’ Terminal in Ballads so often..thanks for visiting Paul, I enjoy when you do!
Wonderful colors and details in your image!
I like it a lot!:)
I love these colorful boats too..always something to grab the eye and capture to enjoy again and again!
