Pioneer Building - Historic Pioneer Square

The Pioneer Building was the first of three buildings built by Seattle Pioneer, Henry Yesler, after the Great Seattle Fire in June 1889. Designed by Elmer Fisher, the building spans two styles – Romanesque and Victorian which typified many buildings after the fire. Located on the northeast corner of First Avenue and James Streets, it faces on historic Pioneer Square.
