Around the Pacific Northwest, at one time, many of these small lumber mills dotted the rural, forested landscape. This was the Car-Win Lumber Mill in Forks, WA, sitting on the corner of Highway 101 and LaPush Road.
Now defunct, but the mill was once bustling with men making lumber from logs harvested on the peninsula. Forks claims to be the logging capital of the world, sadly, perhaps once, no longer today. Today Forks, is better known as the setting for the popular series of books, the Twilight series.
