Last week,
my husband and I spent a few days in Goldendale, WA.
On our drive over down Forest Road 23,
the mountains were socked in with low clouds.
But on the drive home,
the skies were crystal clear, the autumn sun bright and warm.
The fall leaves were brilliant shades of
yellow, gold and red.

Here,
just barely north of the small eastern Washington town of Trout Lake,
I captured this beautiful view of Mount Adams.
Mount Adams is only visible
from a few places in south central eastern Washington,
like Glenwood, Trout Lake, and Goldendale,
and a few spots on FR23.

It is not seen from Interstate 5
like Mounts Baker, Rainier and Saint Helens are.
Mount Adams is mostly a hidden, snow covered, volcanic gem,
waiting to be seen on the blue highways
and dirt roads that we love
to explore.

Blessings Always,
Wow! That is a spectacular picture. The colors are vibrant and the mountain majestic as always.
A truly majestic peak. Fantastic.
What a GORGEOUS shot!
Madge I found you—hiding in plain sight I see.
Lovely Mt. Adams—thanks for the view. My husband grew up around that area
