Monday, October 23rd,

my husband and I drove up to Mount Saint Helens

from the northeast side,

up Windy Ridge.

I promised to post a few more images from that road trip,

here is another captured image.

At the top of Windy Ridge,

we could see four volcanoes, Mt. Rainer to the north,

Mt. Adams to the east, Mt. Saint Helens right in front of us,

and Mt. Hood in Oregon.

As the crows flies,

this view of her it probably

200 miles south.

It was an incredibly crisp, clear day,

the fall colors were vibrant andwe enjoyed the drive and views.

The blow-down area from the 1980 eruption is still very evident,

but gaining new life every season.
