While camping in Birch Bay along northern Puget Sound, in July,
my husband and I took a day trip to visit Lummi Island.
Neither of us had been there before.
A local told us we could access the beach
through the property of the Lummi Congregational Church.
We parked in the far end of their lot, used the steep
but well maintained path
and were delighted to find this rocky beach on
Legoe Bay all to ourselves.
The view was peaceful and stunningly beautiful
looking off towards Sinclair Island
over Legoe Bay.

The little beach is absolutely gorgeous. A great place to spend some quiet time. I love the sky in this photo, it adds to its peaceful mood.
