A beautiful fall view of Rock Creek Canyon from the Goldendale-Bickleton Highway. Rock Creek can be a torrent or a trickle depending upon the time of year. Along its banks some willows, oaks and undergrowth providing shade and habitat for rabbits, quail and other small wildlife. Every trip to Goldendale finds my husband and I enjoying a leisurely drive through Rock Creek Canyon either coming or going to Bickleton to feast at the Blue Bird Inn. Mmmm, I can just about taste one of Nelda’s delicious (and huge) hamburgers and fries right now!

Fantastic photo of a beautiful scene ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
I’m looking forward to seeing more from one of my favorite parts of the country! Beautiful!

Ohhh beautiful! Wa state has such a variety of terrain =)
so pretty .. the contrast of the yellow foliage and the dark brown of the hillsides …
This is a gorgeous scene. I love the depth of the picture.
Hi Madge, I have been so busy that I have have not had the time to even read what Webshots is up to. I know things are changing, but I have no idea how. And to think, I just finally got to one million views! :<} We hope to be back in the NW for Christmas if we can afford the plane fare. 2 grand right now for tickets for the 4 of us. :<{ We had an amazing time in Palau this summer and would love to go back. While there we were invited to Saipan and the Philippines. We may do one of those spots next summer, God willing. We love YWAM and it just seems to get better all the time. We are just amazed with all that we see God doing through this group. Currently we have about 600 students on campus and I am helping staff the new intensive Discipleship Bible School. Currently I am cameraless in Kona. I bought a Nikon D5100 outfit at Costco for the trip to Palau, but it was not very good so I took it back. Hopefully I will come up with something in the near future. Keep in touch and maybe we can meet in the Seattle area one of these day. I have booked marked you blog but I am not sure how to link to it with our blog. Randy
I am now living in Minnesota and the photos of the NW just thrill me! Thanks for the walks down memory lane!
That’s an amazing view.
Oh wow! Now that is a view! :)
Wow! How gorgeous is THAT! I’ve got to put this on my list of places to see!
There’s a Rock Creek Canyon in the eastern Sierras of California – one of my alltime most favorite places. This Rock Creek looks like it will take a place at the top of the list, too.
A beautiful view and some beautiful food awaits!
This is absolutely gorgeous
Awesome- love the fall colors, so pretty!
What colours, what a view!

Is that goldenrod Madge? What a fabulous view of the canyon.
I’m so sorry that you’ve been…and still are…ill, Madge! It seems that anyone working around kids is susceptible to all the ugly germs that are floating around. Hopefully, you’ll get it whipped in short order.
I’ve driven past Ellensburg on I-90, but that’s it. I know there are so many great roads “off the beaten path,” and I would love to travel them some day.
Beautiful scene! I like the contrast of the flowers in the foreground and the seemingly lack of plant life (mostly brown) in the canyon.
Hi, Madge I hope you will recover soon from your sickness. Nice capture. The autumn mountain looks very beautiful. I felt that you and your husband ate very delicious hamburgers and fries.
What a gorgeous capture, Madge.
Very pretty. This landscape is wonderful. I hope you won the battle to viruses. Greetings.
