Yesterday,
near the central eastern Washington town of Connell,
I came across this field of coneflowers.

They were so bright and cheerful,
I had to stop and take a few images of them.
Here,
is the underside
of just one bloom with its
face to the sun.

I love this! Beautiful!
I don’t recall ever seeing a yellow coneflower, I’ve mostly seen shades of pink ones. This one is like sunshine bottle up in this lovely flower.
I forgot to change my email address; the old one was hacked by someone requesting money from my contacts. :(
Wonderful perspective. Sunshine on stalks.
How pretty!!
So lovely.
Simply gorgeous!
They’re absolutely stunning flowers aren’t they. The colours with the sun shining through the petals is beautiful.
I love the contrast between blue and yellow you captured, Madge.
