Old Electrical Technology

This vintage power pole is about 20 feet tall sported two glass insulators, one of which was still applied to the pole with the wire attached. This is probably from the original construction of power supply lines in rural Klickitat County in south central Washington around 1938. Most of these poles in rural areas were taken down years ago, and if not, then scavengers robbed the poles of the insulators for sale in flea markets or antique stores.
