Here,

on a summer day trip to Mount Saint Helens,

I’ve caught some brightly colored magenta ‘Fireweed.’

Back-lit by the strong, hot sunshine,

it appears to glow from

within.

I’m not sure

if this is the variety of flower

that bees frequent to produce ‘Fireweed Honey,’

but it is pretty regardless of

its sweetness!
