Today,
we are back again in the garden
of a good friend of mine.
While she harvested edible bounty from her garden,
I walked around taking photos for her to use as backgrounds
on her laptop or print and frame.

She also demonstrated for me and another mutual friend
how to make fresh pesto.

Promptly off to a large, local produce stand, I bought parsley,
and two large bags of basil ($3.98 each),
EVOO and pine-nuts from Costco.

I ended up with about
three-quarters of a gallon of pesto.
I will be sharing with my daughters and friends…

I know that basil (or its close cousin) as Opal Basil. And love it – and pesto. Too much pesto is barely enough.
Nice light.
I hate to admit it, but I don’t know that I have ever used basil in any recipe, and not really sure what pesto is. I guess I need to go google it! Nice shot!
I like those mottled leaves.
