Swim Camp for Dogs

Swim Camp for Dogs - Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle WA

Dog Daycare, often known as “Doggie Daycare,” refers to a short-term boarding kennel service for dogs.

Here,

I was in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood taking photos

up and down Market Street.

While reviewing some shots I’d made,

I looked up; there across the street was this Honda Element,

sporting information for ‘Swim Camp for Dogs.’

:  :  :

I’ve seen quite a few

of these doggie daycare vans

and facilities around Seattle in all neighborhoods.

I’ve never felt the need to even board a dog,

much less spend my hard earned cash for someone else

to entertain my dog.

Thinking about it though,

if I ever get to a place where I can’t

care for/entertain my own pets, then it’s time to do without one.

What do you think?

  1. Moon and Copper were boarded a few times while we lived in VA. Although it never agreed with me, I agreed. They are now 10 and 11 respectively, loving healthy, happy lives here at our side. However, there are people who have pets and have the need for a sitter. At least they are not leaving the pet home alone…socialization and stimulation therapy is good for canines…:)JP

I’ve met dogs that sorely needed socialization & the kind that bounce off walls because they don’t get exercise. Seems a lot of people have dogs and can’t take care of or exercise them well. If they can afford “camp” it’s more humane than keeping one that’s going crazy or suffers from neglect. We’ve had to board ours when we’ve left town and couldn’t take him along. He’s a party boy and loves goofing around. It’s an occasional cost we were mindful of when we decided we’d add a dog to our family.
