Aeromotor is a company in the US that is still in the business of making pumps of all kinds.
: : :
Here,
in Rocklyn,
in what once was a pioneer community
in eastern Washington,
an old windmill made by the Aermotor company in Chicago,
still stands but is worse for wear.
: : :
The sky looks bleak,
as it does outside here around Seattle.
But I’m looking forward to spring.
: : :
I don’t know about you,
but I’ll be placing my order today from Baker Creek Seeds for my garden.
I will also be getting three 2’x2’x4′ galvanized steel stock tanks
to expand my growing area around my patio,
as well my five raised beds that are 4’x8.’
: : :
I know if wishes were horses,
beggars would ride,
but I wish I had room for a much bigger garden plot.
I am excited
for the upcoming season,
are you?

Bright and sunny here, but temps are in the teens. We have a good sized garden (Hubby does, anyway). I don’t think he is planning for it yet. I love this old windmill.
That old windmill has lots of character. Happy gardening, Madge!
Our weather is more like summer at the moment, wishing for a little rain. We need it badly. Love the ol’ Aermotor, so cool. Have fun choosing which seeds to order, so fun and happy gardening!
what a great old windmill! love it :)
A wonderful vintage image. http://mancunianwave.blogspot.co.uk/
Beautiful photo!! I’m so ready for spring and for gardening, too!!! I just got my first package of seeds from Baker Creek, and I’m so excited!! Thanks for the link-up, have a great day!
Creative and unique photo and seed planting sounds hopeful for Spring ~ enjoy ~ carol, xxx

That old windmill has certainly seen better days! I’m trying to wait just a bit longer before I start ordering seeds. I have a tendency to want to start the tomatoes waaayy too early if the seeds are here! :)
On this frigid day I am surely looking forward to spring too Madge!
I love the shot of the old windmill. I like the idea of the stock tanks.
What a great find.
A historic well worn site, Madge! And yes, although I love the white stuff, Spring is in the forefront of my mind as well…:)JP
I dare not even think about spring or I won’t be fit to have company. I have not been able to feel warm since this whole polar weather started. I wish I could visualize the tanks you’re set to buy.
I love shots like these where something has seen so much life and has taken on a different beauty. x
I love windmills (the old ones), and this is a beauty.
I’m looking forward to spring and growing and gardening and kidding seasons. Love the capture of the windmill. I don’t know why they seem to be so much fun for people to shoot. Mine has all kinds of holes in it too.
I love these old windmills!
I’ve been thinking of a greenhouse lately…just thinking…my thumbs are not any minute shade of green.
Love the weather vane!
