Pioneer Square is one of the historic districts of Seattle.

Here,
two windows with lunette windows above,
grace a historic red brick building
in Pioneer Square.

I love
photographing the buildings found there.
The red brick is always so warm and appealing,
when one can catch
the blue sky
reflected in the windows,
it is
a
win-win
shot.

Lovely shot, Madge.
It looks like a place to wander happily with your camera. Red brick and blue skies….lovely.
Isn’t it amazing what can be done with simple oblong bricks – and how infrequently such effects are achieved these days.
I love the textures of old brick buildings. Especially that red ones that have the terra cotta detailing.
Shot at a great angle, too!
Ohh I really love to shoot old building too, they always have so much character. Great shot Marge!
I agree … they are beautiful buildings to photograph. Great job!
BEautiful architecture.
I thought this part of Seattle was particularly beautiful.
