Games of chance offer a possibility of winning something.
: : :
Here,
we’re again visiting the Puyallup Fair
(now named ‘The Washington State Fair’).
: : :
On the midway,
you’ll find many games.
Some,
require skill,
like throwing darts at balloons,
and some are games of chance.
: : :
The ‘Duck Pond,’
is one of those games of chance,
aimed at a very young audience.
Select a rubber duck from the pond,
turn it over to see what prize is written on the bottom.
: : :
I was drawn to the bright yellow ducks swirling around and around,
they just begged for their picture to be taken,
so I did!

This brings back so many memories of visiting the carnival at our yearly town festival with my Grandma.
She always had change, which in those days was all it took. The ducks were a hard plastic and floating in a long row. I always thought they was so much fun.
Thanks for some good memories Madge!
Sweet shot!
I love the fair. There are so many photo ops. Great job “seeing” this one.
We are all winners by viewing this cheerful shot Madge! Thank you for hosting WTS every week.
cute shot.
I’d say that shot is a winner!
Oh Madge, how delightful!
Love the ‘rubber duckies’ ~ Great shot! ~ happy weekend to you ~ carol, xo
They are quite pretty and vibrant in yellow color!
I love the fair, such a fun place, just like those yellow ducks
Country fairs are wonderful, throwbacks to the simpler lives our predecessors lived.
What a fun and happy shot!
Oh I love fairs! And your ducks are so cute ;)
You can’t help but smile looking at this shot.
Here in a small neighboring town (Ilsenburg) is held each year on the river, a duck race. Before you buy such a duck, it gets a number and on a Sunday we go. which duck swims the furthest? The owner gets a prize. This is exciting.
The money for the ducks sold is used for the preservation of the old city.
Have a nice sunday.
My little grandson would think he was in heaven if he could have all those little ducks to play with. It is a lovely shot and the event itself must be so much fun for everyone…including little children and photographers!
Hi Madge,
The duck pond is a Winner! Your great Picture reminds me of the time our boys were toddlers … and the duck pond was the greatest attraction for them :)
