Autumn, one of four distinct seasons in the Pacific Northwest.
: : :
Here,
along 24th Avenue South
(a street I drive on my school bus route daily a number of times)
are fallen red maple leaves,
wet with rain.
: : :
While the trees are just beginning to turn color now,
this image
was caught last fall at the height of fall.
: : :
These are not native to the northwest,
but whatever variety they are,
beautiful
certainly describes
them well.

Today,
is ‘Random 5 Friday,’
over at my friend Nancy’s place, ‘A Rural Journal,’
where we link up a post with some facts about ourselves.
Here are my five:
(1) Today is ‘Seahawks Friday’ at work, and I’ll be wearing my 12th man jersey.
(2) The repairs on my car take place next week, damage from the hit and run I was involved in about a month ago.
(3) I have some good news but you’ll all have to wait about 6 weeks before I can say anything.
(4) My school bus has been in the shop twice now since school started… sigh.
(5) I’m hoping to get up early tomorrow and go out ‘shooting’…you know, with my camera!
: : :
There you go,
see you tomorrow for
‘Weekly Top Shot #101.’

AWESOME PHOTO!!!!!
I wish I’d develope the habit of getting up – to go “shoot.”
Guess I should – “just do it!”
Beautiful leaves!!!
Oh how I love Autumn. The color of your leaves is beautiful.
Love those leaves.
We have fall here in Texas, for about 15 minutes. Seldom do we get good fall color.
Six weeks to wait for your good news??
A gorgeous autumn shot. Beautifully done.
I believe those maples came from the Northeast as those maples are in abundance there. That is the thing I miss most about the places I moved…no autumn color. I have a beautiful autumn tablecloth and I joke that my table has more color than the trees do.
Coming from Random 5 Friday.
Love those red leaves! Only the trees that turn yellow are turning here yet. Am anxious to hear your news!
Have fun shooting…with your camera.
With the month you’ve had, I wondered if you were going to go postal… :) Just kidding.
Six weeks huh? Can we get a hint?
Not yet… patience, patience, patience! :-)
Oh the sight of red leaves makes me happy, I love autumn! A gorgeous capture Madge!
Those leaves are gorgeous! Really beautiful photo. I am looking forward to the changing of the leaves and the cooler weather of autumn. I’d like to get up early enough to catch a photo of sunrise. I can’t seem to make it, though. :-)
Beautiful leaves!!!!
I so wish I could be a morning person …. why is it so difficult for me to get my butt out of bed and seize the day?
LOL
Have fun “shooting” tomorrow, Madge! Lovely red fall leaves.
Such vibrant and rich colours. Like so many of your photos, this one is sensational too!
I love the colors of Fall.
The perfect photo for the last day of summer.
GORGEOUS SHOT! I am a bit jealous as it has still been in the high 90’s every day in Texas. Oh for Fall!
Not quite ready for Fall…thanks for alerting me to the Random 5 Blog, I’m a latecomer♫ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/midways/
So beautiful Madge!
