Selfie at Seattle Public Library

Self-portraits, can be good, bad or ugly.

my daughter and I took a trip to the main library in downtown Seattle.

We toured the whole facility,

looking here and there, finding ourselves on the fourth floor

where there are conference rooms and the whole floor, walls and ceiling are painted this brilliant cherry red.

My selfie was caught by photographing my reflection on a wall.

Today is ‘Random 5 Friday‘ over at my friend Nancy’s place, ‘A Rural Journal.’

Here’s my five random facts about myself:

  1. My favorite outdoor temperature is 60, not too hot, not too cold.
  2. I enjoy trout fishing with my husband, but we don’t fish as often as we’d like.
  3. I’m a diehard ‘Duck Dynasty’ fan.
  4. I really like ‘Pork Fried Rice’ and ‘Teriyaki.’
  5. Driver’s who don’t follow the ‘Rules of the Road’ really tick me off… oh can I include bicyclists in that too?

  1. I want to go to the Seattle Library someday! Amazing that this was reflected in the wall! I am with you on the favorite outdoor temperature. I wilt in the heat. Hope you have a good weekend, Marge! xx

  2. My not too hot, not too cold is closer to 70 – but 60 is okay with me, too. I agree about drivers ignoring the rules – and yes, cyclists count. For some reason the bike commuters here in Boston don’t think stop lights apply to them – eek – until they get hit, anyway. Have a nice weekend!

  3. I am cold blooded and like the 70’s-80’s.

I have been fishing once, kind of. The Hubby goes every once in a while with his cousin. I love the fresh catch.

We watch Duck Dynasty at our house and try to follow the rules of the road.

You sure can include bikers, after having said this our bikers (south of france) are pretty aware of us drivers, I’m not familir with DD, must be a west of me thing, I’ve visited the Seattle Library, I love selfies!

  5. I remember that trip to the library and those red walls. They were quite striking. Now I’m going to have to pay more attention to reflections. Fishing….love it! Bass are my fish of choice but I haven’t been in many many moons. You’ve reminded me of how much I miss it!

  6. Great way to take a photo – interesting too. I agree with you about bikes – and as the Washington Driving Manual says “bicyclist must obey the same rules of the road as automobiles” Can they not read? I’m with you on the temperature thing – we sat out on the deck on Thursday night until 10:30 – bring along a fleece blanket and it is perfect.
